...and do not call people who acknowledge the truth Racist. ( that is getting old - thanks to Obama)
Again this is not about white or black or politics- its about truth and facts and Not simply spewing out and regurgitating what those in charge want you to believe. To have discussion and admit to reality and facts - and then if people want to make him a hero fine - but facts must be acknowledge .
He did by his own admission target citizens - he did Allie with communist- he did support Castro Arafat and Hamas. He did liken Israel to Apartheid - and anyone whose experienced apartheid and who has been to Israel - would never state that unless they had an agenda - because that is a blatant lie.
Now given all that - If people want to hail him -do so but do not try to silence facts with name calling and making it white vs black or political . Realize the facts and then say that you approve of his communism and terrorism - but dont try to squash facts and call those who state facts racist .
Winnie Mandela "We have no guns – we have only stones, boxes of matches and petrol," she told a township crowd. "Together, hand in hand, with our boxes of matches and our necklaces we shall liberate this country." Necklacing meant putting a petrol-soaked burning tyre around a perceived traitor's neck.

-Mandela found the ANC too tame and had begun to push for a violent struggle in the 1940s, when he headed its youth league, the former professor of economics at Stellenbosch University said. The communists were for the use of violence, and Terreblanche believes it led to the alliance.
-At the time that Umkhonto we Sizwe carried out its first attacks, Mandela was at its helm.
The next year, in 1962, he left for Morocco and Ethiopia, where he secretly studied guerrilla warfare. http://www.cnn.com/2013/12/06/world/africa/nelson-mandela-other-side/
Does it matter he was a communist?
Lets not forget he was a communist
3 Things you dont ( want to) know about Nelson Mandela
Nelson Mandela was the head of UmKhonto we Sizwe, (MK), the terrorist wing of the ANC and South African Communist Party. At his trial, he had pleaded guilty to 156 acts of public violence including mobilising terrorist bombing campaigns, which planted bombs in public places, including the Johannesburg railway station. Many innocent people, including women and children, were killed by Nelson Mandela’s MK terrorists. Here are some highlights

In 1985 Madikizela-Mandela made an infamous speech where she declared, “With our necklaces we shall liberate this country.” The term “necklacing” refers to the practice of setting a tire filled with gasoline around a person’s head and then setting it ablaze. Her personal bodyguard, the innocuous-sounding Nelson Mandela Football Club, was responsible for many acts of intimidation, including necklacing, against Black opponents of Mandela. Most infamously was the necklacing death of 14-year-old activist Stompie Moeketsi in 1988.

Do you really wanto say ' oh that was his wife - he was in jail- it wadnt him' ?
She communicated with him - he admitted to directing the ANC from jail- he was offered release at the time IF HE WOULD RENOUNCE VIOLENCE.
Are you really going to not acknowledge the truth?
